Transfer
Transfer printing (screen printing or digital transfer) is used for printing on items that have complicated and uneven surfaces (backpacks, bags, caps or umbrellas). It is an indirect technique where the desired motif is not printed directly on the object, but is first printed on transfer paper and then applied to the object itself.
Production
It is printed similarly to screen printing, but the motif is first printed on transfer paper with a thin layer of silicone or on a transparent transfer film, which is applied to the textile by ironing. Pressure and temperature melt the adhesive layer, which is printed as the last layer, and this process allows the print to be anchored into the fabric structure. The transfer technology is characterised by precise printing in detail, a wide range of printing materials and the possibility of using 'stock' printing for repeat orders. It is possible to prepare and deliver individual prints on transfer paper without ironing, which can be done later by the customer using a special iron.
